Owen Mylod Yee, Program Director - 6th year

Owen grew up in Redwood City, CA and is currently living in La Honda, CA, working and teaching as a Naturalist at San Mateo Outdoor Education. Owen holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Environmental Studies from University of California - Santa Cruz. His first year of OVY Camp was in 2018 as a Counselor, and he immediately fell in love with the nature, the camp activities, and the OVY Camp spirit (and the food). His favorite thing to do with a free day is to hike in the beautiful coastal redwoods or get in the water at the beach, no matter how cold it is. He loves trees, hacky sacks, hammocks, looking at the stars, and proving by example that singing just isn’t for everyone. He firmly believes that creek walks aren’t fun unless you get totally soaked and that someday he will finally win the Super Secret Table Spy Award. His favorite parts of camp are eating outside on pizza night and getting way too competitive during six flags. Owen will be returning to OVY Camp for his 6th year! Ask him about his favorite animal noise!
