““I wanted to express my sincere thank you for such a wonderful camp experience for my twin boys, R & C. Each had different feelings going into camp as it was their first ever sleep-away camp. R was so excited while C was apprehensive and almost didn’t want to join camp.

However, while I wasn’t able to attend the closing ceremony due to work, upon my return home & finally seeing the boys, they couldn’t stop raving about their experience, telling me stories about their camp and the people they have met. They are already talking about wanting to go back next year and how they want to be CIT’s in the future. You can definitely see the boys beaming with confidence and courage.

““Z had an amazing time. In the last few years, she has been very internal, not wanting to hang out with people she doesn’t know. She likes to stay home, doesn’t want to go anywhere or do new things, especially if there are people she will need to interact with.

It was so moving to watch her be fully present at the closing circle [on the last day of camp]. I told her dad that she not only did her Thimbleberry cabin run inside the circle, but she was actively giving everyone a high fives. His response: ‘And she did it? She wanted to participate? Wow!’
