This is the Camp where boys and girls develop self esteem, self confidence, teamwork, learn about nature and have a lot of fun. Most campers have never dream it possible to go to summer camp. The staff of professional leaders and counselors who conduct the Camp Programs see to it that the children have an experience they will remember for the rest of their lives.

CAMPERSHIPS

Since campers cannot afford to pay their own way, we have set up an internal OVY Campership Fund to receive donations from clubs, businesses and individuals to cover the necessary costs.

Consider being a full-Campership sponsor, a Campership contributor or support contributor. A Full Campership costs $200 which makes it possible for a child to attend a 5-day session of camp beginning on Sunday afternoon and lasting through Friday. This is just $17 per month to fund one youth for a week of fun. Contributions towards a partial week are also welcome and all contributions go 100% to a Campership or to cover basic Camp expenses. All labor and maintenance for the Camp are provided by volunteers.

GROUP PROJECTS & DONATIONS: If your service club, church, social group or business is willing to donate time or resources to a worthy charitable organization, consider the Optimist Volunteers for Youth, Inc. OVY continues to sponsor children to camp, age 9 to 14, from all over Northern California regardless of race, religion or background.
