All donations are 100% tax deductible. Optimist Volunteers for Youth, Inc. is a nonprofit membership coordinator organized in accordance with Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and Section 23701d of the California Revenue and Taxation Code.
Each summer, the OVY Campership Fund sends children from all over Northern California who are between the ages 9 and 14 to the OVY Camp, regardless of their race, religion, or background.
At the OVY Camp, we want every child to share in this experience and we are dedicated to making that possible!
The OVY Campership Fund relies entirely on generous donations from clubs, businesses, and individuals to sponsor campers attending the OVY Camp.
We are a nonprofit camp for children from urban and low income backgrounds. Our camper’s families might otherwise not be able to send their children to camp due to financial limitations, or urban isolation.
As a nonprofit camp with many volunteer staff members, the cost for a camper to attend the OVY Camp is only $500 - a fraction of the price to attend most summer camps. Even with such a low cost for campership, many families are unable to send their children; and look to the OVY Campership fund for sponsorship.
There are several standard sponsorship opportunities, as well as, open donations and options for reoccurring contributions. All donations go directly into the OVY Campership Fund to sponsor as many campers as possible.
Sponsorship Opportunities
Contributions towards a full, or partial week are welcome. Please consider being a Full campership sponsor, a Campership contributor, or support contributor.
$500 donation sends one child to attend summer camp.
$250 contribution combines with another to send a child to camp.
A gift of $100 is one fifth of the cost of sending a child to camp.
Open Donations & Reoccurring Contributions
Some people prefer to donate a chosen dollar amount, or contribute evenly throughout the year.
Donations of any size are accepted below.
Group Projects, Volunteering & Item Donations
Corporate contributors and generous individuals may publicly sponsor an entire week of camp. Please contact us to discuss the details.
